SERVICES

Here is an overview of the services currently provided by California Forensic Psychology Associates.
Parent and Child Evaluations

CFPA offers a variety of custody and parenting evaluations. These range from full custody evaluations to brief evaluations of specific issues related to parenting plans and custody arrangements. These evaluations focus on providing specialized recommendations to the court that center around the best interests of the children involved.

Other parenting evaluations include bonding studies (evaluating parent-child relationships and attachment) and parenting fitness evaluations.

Psycholegal Evaluations

CFPA offers evaluations of defendants' competence to stand trial for Napa, Solano, and Yolo counties pursuant to PC1368/1370. We also offer mental health diversion evaluations. In addition to these services, we can provide psychodiagnostic assessment for individuals involved in various legal proceedings.

Courtroom
Psychotherapy

CFPA offers psychotherapy services on a limited, private pay basis for both adolescents and adults. Psychotherapy is a uniquely shared relationship between a therapist and client focusing on working through a specified problem. A therapist brings expertise related to human behavior to the relationship while the client brings expertise about themselves and their experience. Together, real change can be achieved. CFPA focuses on problems related to difficult life transitions, substance abuse, anger management, anxiety, and depression. We may also accept referrals for individuals who are court ordered for treatment.
